So my new holdall I'm going to use as a hospital bag came today! I'm happy with the size of it etc 😊
This is my checklist, does anyone think I've missed anything out? I'm 30+4 by the way.

• Maternity notes
• Nightie for labour (open front)
• 2 x PJ's for after labour (open front)
• Going home clothes (jogging bottoms/leggings, top, hoodie)
• Breast Pads
• Maternity bra's
• Cheap knickers
• Maternity pads × 2 packs
• Slippers/ flip flops
• Socks × 2
• Lightweight dressing gown
• Magazines/book
• Charger
• Change for vending machine
• Carrier bags for dirty stuff

Toiletries-
• Washbag ✔
• Shower Gel ✔
• Shampoo ✔
• Conditioner ✔
• Body puff ✔
• Deodrant
• Hairbrush
• Hair clips & bobbles
• Lip Balm
• Moisturiser
• Toothbrush & Toothpaste

For baby💕
• Sleepsuits × 4
• Vests × 4
• Cardigans × 2
• Hats × 2
• Nappies × 12
• Pack of wet wipes
• Blankets × 2
• Muslin Squares × 2
• Car Seat

Ricky-
• Wordsearch book & pen
• Charger
• Toothbrush

Ask if hospital provide towels!?

I do want to buy the PJ's soon but thinking should I wait until I'm further along though so I know what size to get?🤔 I was a size 14-16 pre pregnancy and have been wearing some of my normal cardigans and tops as they've been baggy. I don't think I've put much noticeable weight on my legs or arms and I don't mind baggy stuff anyway so could get away with buying stretchy material in a size 20 maybe?

Put handful of bibs in for the baby too as mine where always really sickly after birth. I'd only take one cardigan for them. To go home in not too they keep the hospital as hot as Spain. I'd wait on pj's I bought mine about 4 weeks before I give birth and they fit fab x

Wow you're so organised! I didn't take half that stuff with my first and didn't pack my bag until I was about 38 weeks! (Gave birth 38+6 so cut it fine!).

I'm 30+6 now and still haven't even thought about my hospital bag but you've given me a helpful list! X

Same! 35 weeks and though planning to stay at home again I've packed an emergency bag with a pair of leggings, top, socks and 2 pairs of knickers and a toothbrush and toothpase, just in case. And by packed I mean they're in a tesco carrier bag on the bedroom door handle 😂

From what I can remember for my youngest daughter I packed: a comfy outfit (think nice stretchy pyjamas or similar as it's difficult to know what size you'll be straight after the birth) and cardigan to go over the top.

Slippers,  towel, toiletries, magazines and a puzzle book for the stay in hospital, big comfy pants, few pairs of warm socks and maternity pads.

Phone and charger, and camera if you want.

For the baby I needed: 2 or 3 vests and sleep suits with integral scratch mits, nappies (we took one pack of about 30 newborn size) and baby wipes, towel (this wasn't on the list provided by the hospital but when they bathed the baby they expected us to have bought one), 3 or 4 muslin squares.

Things I packed but didn't use: snacks and drinks (but I wasn't in labour very long at the hospital), a cute "going home" outfit for my daughter, Breast pads - I didn't need these until my milk came in a few days after the birth and I was home by then. Dressing gown - I wore a warm cardigan instead which is always good to have.

Thank you, that's really helpful😊
Good idea to just use a Cardigan if I don't have room for a dressing gown as well. I'm booked into go see the birth centre at my local hospital on the 9th so will ask regarding towels then x

I carried my dressing gown with me I never actually wore it just a thing to cuddle when contractions start more like a comfort thing [emoji5] they provided me with towls after birth they got me to shower pretty much straight away could be different for other hospitals though xx
