Hi

My son (age 10) has been having recent episodes of nausea, dizziness, hot/cold chills. I tried to monitor if they were linked to anything in particular he ate, drunk, did ect but there doesn't appear to be a noticeable pattern.

After each episode which last anything from 20 mins to a few hours he is exhausted. The most recent one he cried saying he felt weird and sick. His face was like a beetroot but he kept asking for a blanket he didnt know if he was hot or cold. No pain anywhere, and then just zonked out fast asleep.

I'm going to call the Dr tomorrow but I'm not expecting much luck as there's no pattern to these episodes. They don't follow a pattern or occur after any particular activity. He is very pale a lot of the time apart from when he gets very hot and he then gets flushed.

Any advice would be very welcome.

Thank you

Hello Carly

Thanks for sharing this. It is a worry for you I am sure. If you could see a pattern, then you'd be in a much stronger position to perhaps make some changes to see if they improve wouldn't you.

I think seeing the GP is the right thing to do, as it is important that you try to get to the bottom of this for him. It must be upsetting for him too.

I would be very interested to hear what the GP says Carly, if you have the time to let us know.

Best wishes
