Kids and partner are mentally draining me

I work full time mon-fri attend college 9n a Tuesday night my day starts at 5.40am and I'm often still going at as late as ten.

I have four kids who are SEN asd 16 12 and twins at 9

The partner isn't well and had to finish work due to ill health recent cancer diagnosis amongst other health issues.

I normally manage fine but past couple of days i just want to be away from the kids who I love to ends of earth it's just constant demanding and fighting i do anything I'm currently sat in bathroom as it's only place I can get peace without somone wanting something off me

The partner is just as bad can I do x y z and I often find that when there all sat relaxing I'm still going cleaning ironing and cooking no one is ever happy.

One stressed out mum

Sending love know how u feel do you have any family member to help or have kids give u a break. Try setting a rota of chores for partner to do too he shouldn't be doing nothing. Take a day at weekend to do what u enjoy alone kids can stay with partner or shoukd be okay alone or with family xx

Hi Trudy

I'm Catherine, one of the Parent Supporters here at Netmums. How are you this evening? Trudy, it sounds like you are juggling a lot of different demands on your time, energy and attention. Do you ever get a break or time to yourself? I'm sure lots of other Mums will resonate with wanting to get away for some peace especially if everyone else's needs come first. Have you any help or support Trudy? Would you consider chatting to your GP or children's schools to see if they could signpost you for support or local services? In the meantime, can you protect an hour or 2 for yourselves in the next few days and get out to do something you enjoy which will give you a break and hopefully some peace?

I've asked for your post to be moved into our drop in clinic where I think you will get more support and hopefully some of our lovely community will be along soon. Do come back to us if you would like to chat some, we are here to listen.
