Cut on face

Hi, can anyone help please or give advice on the best treatment for deep facial cuts on toddlers. My two years old fell over and cut her face on her jawline area and it had to be glued and is about an inch long. I am devastated at the potential for this to scar. Did anyone else have this and their child’s injury didn’t scar and was there anything anyone did to prevent scarring?
