Don't buy if the kids don't need it! I rarely buy my daughter all new for September as most of her stuff still fits and is in a good condition! Just after Christmas seems to be when she needs next size or new clothes 🙈🙈 I also keep an eye on supermarket sales. I managed to get 2 pairs of patent black brogue style shoes in her size and next side up for a fiver a pair from M&S not this January but the one before, she's still wearing the bigger sized ones of them now! Charity shops also have some great bargains too! Bagged a pair of Kurt Geiger school shoes looked nearly brand new for a fiver so when she need next size she has those now.

Cut a sticker in half and put the left half inside their left shoe and the right half in the right shoe for little ones still struggling to put shoes on the correct feet - they just have to match up the sticker and they will have them right every time 🥰

I reach out to the class whatsapp and ask if anyone would like to swap clothes. I also save takeaway containers for packed lunch box

These ideas are so helpful. For my 2 I set them tasks and chores through Summer that they can earn small amounts for. I will cover a basic black back pack and pencil case but if they want a certain brand then they can put their earnings towards it.

I also make sure we walk to school in any weather, so we aren't having to waste money on petrol or bus fair.

If your child has packed lunches batch cook some pasta, rice dishes and/or frittatas that you can freeze in servings to pull one out the night before a school day ready for the morning.

Children's name label stamp for £3.98 on temu! I've seen this stamp advertised all over the Internet but this is straight from the suppliers with no excess charges. Temu also do great other bits including free delivery and returns
