We have been together 11years, it's very toxic, emotionally abusive and controlling I've been planning on leaving with our 3 children.

This year knowing I don't want to be with him he kept going on about another baby I clearly said no (due to go drs next week for contraception) he keeps waking me up at 1/2am touching sexually to get sxx, I'm groggy, tired and stupidly just say whatever do what you need.

I'm now pregnant (I have always been one to say I would never have an abortion) but I really don't want another baby with him it seems hard enough to get away. He said if I fall pregnant and say I'll terminate he will tie me down.

How painful are terminations?

Hi Cara

I'm Catherine, one of the Parent Supporters here Netmums. You've told us that your relationship has been 'very toxic, emotionally abusive and controlling' and you plan to leave. You have discovered that you are pregnant and are wondering about having a termination. Hopefully some of our community will be along soon to offer support but you may find this article a helpful read too: Abortion: Your Questions Answered - Netmums

Cara, are you able to leave your relationship? Do you have the support of family or friends to help and who might know what is going on? You've mentioned you have a Doctor's appointment next week - can you tell them what is going on? They will be able to signpost you to support. Would you consider linking in with Women's Aid for support too? I'll link their website here too: The Survivor's Handbook - Women’s Aid (womensaid.org.uk)

I've asked for your post to moved into our drop in clinic where I think you will get more support but do come back to us if you would like to chat some more.

Best wishes

Catherine
