All parents have to do to take advantage of this deal is purchase an adult main, which will result in children, aged 12 and under be able to choose a meal from the new Messi kids meal menu, including a drink – which won't appear on the bill.

But, you will need to hurry, because this exclusive Netmums offer ends on Friday, 9 February 2024.

This world-famous restaurant is an obvious choice for families, because it's something the whole family can enjoy.

The Hard Rock Cafe offers dining, music, entertainment and culture all under one roof.

Netmums' review

From the moment you step inside the Hard Rock Cafe shop you know you're somewhere special.

The actual restaurant is accessed through the Rock Shop and is underground in the heart of the West End, just a stones throw away from Piccadilly Circus tube station.

The one word I'd use to describe the restaurant is 'buzzing.' It really does have a 'feel good' family-friendly vibe about it.

There were families - big and small - dining, but also it's a great place for couples to enjoy a meal, especially if you can sit on a bar stool at the centre bar.

Menu faves

The choice is vast and you will be spoilt for choice.

There's everything from legendary steak burgers and sandwiches, to salads and sharers, with meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans all catered for.

The favourites on Hard Rock Cafe's menu include the Original Legendary Burger®, Moving Mountains® Burger, One Night In Bangkok Spicy Shrimp, Apple Cobbler and various specialties such as All-American sliders, famous fajitas, classic BBQ pork ribs and much more.

My hand-pulled pork sandwich with house-made barbeque sauce, served on a toasted brioche bun with coleslaw and fries (£16.95) was absolutely stuffed with meat and extremely tasty.

And I think I can also say the signature cocktail (which is huge) which I had, while we made our menu choices, was one of the best I've ever tasted (and in my 41 years, I've drank a lot of cocktails, all over the world!)

The Messi Children's meal costs £12.95 and includes a drink

Kids will be impressed with the Lionel Messi kids' menu – expect everything from cheeseburgers and chicken tenders to mac and cheese.

Each Messi kids meal – priced £12.95 – includes a choice of drink, which I actually think is really good value for meals that were fresh, large in portion, and served in central London!

It wasn't obvious they were kids' meals either, they will still served on large plates and were a decent portion.

If the children still have room after their main meal, there's hot fudge sundae or a choice of ice cream for just £2.50 on the kids' menu.

Music memorabilia

But it's not just the food that people flock to the Hard Rock Cafe for.

Our kids – now older – were genuinely impressed with the one-of-a-kind memorabilia from decades of rock history which adorn the walls.

They enjoyed walking around the restaurant to see which pieces they could spot and were amazed to see items from the wardrobes of the likes of The Beatles, Robbie Williams, Rita Ora and Ed Sheeran – to name a few.

15% off for theatre-goers

After our meal we were visiting the Criterion Theatre to watch the Unbelievable Show, and, being just next door, the restaurant is is the perfect choice for a pre-theatre visit.

Plus, the London Piccadilly restaurant is currently offering a deal for theatre-goers, with 15% off food, non-alcoholic beverages and retail.

All you have to do is show staff your same-day theatre ticket to get the discount. This deal is available Monday-Friday until February 9 for groups of up to 6 guests. It' can't be used alongside other offers.

Veganuary

There's something for everyone at Hard Rock Cafe, whether you're a meat eater, vegetarian or vegan.

This year, at participating cafes globally, the latest Veganuary menu was unveiled on January 3.

It offers a distinctive array of vegan dishes, each with a signature twist.

Why not try award-winning Moving Mountains Patty in the BBQ Plant Burger or go for Chili Sin Carne Tacos with Moving Mountains Mince?

Other options include Quorn Tenders Salad, Cauliflower Wings, and for dessert, an indulgent plant-based Sticky Toffee Pudding with vegan vanilla ice cream.

Overall review

We had a great time at Hard Rock Cafe. I'd say everything was pretty much perfect.

The size of the portions were plentiful, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff really were friendly.

Also, if it's your birthday, let the waiting staff know.

My birthday fell the day before our visit and I was surprised with a free dessert while the waiting staff sang happy birthday to me. One to remember!
