Teens can be notoriously hard to buy for ... but one mum has come up with a foolproof solution

Kids definitely get harder to buy for as they get older but OFC we still want to get them something special for the big day.

And now, one mum has come up with a super simple present idea that all teens are bound to LOVE.

Sharing her idea in the comments of a post in the Facebook group FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS, mum Lucy explained the pressie idea that goes down a treat with her 17 year old:

'I bought gift cards for places my son likes to get food so Krispy Kreme, Greggs, Nandos, Starbucks etc when doing my shopping or in Starbucks myself and put them in gift card tins from Amazon that I'll reuse,' she said.

'He used the last one in the summer and got us all a doughnut on a day out.'

So simple yet so effective – and now we're wondering why have we never thought of this before?!

'Ooooh love this idea,' one Facebook user commented in response to Lucy's suggestion.

'Great idea,' exclaimed another.
