Sing and Sign - St Neots

About

'Sing and Sign' - the original British baby signing programme! Winner of What's on For Little Ones "Best National Toddler Development Activity" 2009 and winner of Netmums Silver and Bronze awards 2012.

Sing and Sign combines a music group with the chance to learn some useful signs that will encourage early communication with your child. It is aimed at children from 6 to 18 months, ie pre-speech and as speech is developing. Studies have shown that use of baby signing can lessen frustration in babies and toddlers, develop the language centres of the brain and stimulate learning and understanding in general. By signing one key word in each sentence, you reinforce the spoken word and provide your child with a stepping stone towards speech. Each week covers a particular theme, gradually building up your signing vocabulary.

10 week courses in term-time, costing £60.

Each class lasts 45 minutes: the first 35 minutes is singing and signing, and then there is 10 minutes to go over the week's key signs while the children play. It is a 10 week course, running in school terms. You can go on the waiting list at any time. Julie just needs your name and phone number, and baby's name and DOB.

Classes take place in:
Biggleswade on Saturday mornings
St Neots (Eynesbury) on Tuesday mornings
Ampthill on Wednesday mornings
Langford on Wednesday afternoons
Bedford (Newnham Avenue) on Thursday mornings
Sandy on Friday mornings
