- Start by sticking different lengths of tape on the plug and then use scissors to trim the edges off and get a neat finish.

- Cut a circle of card. Starting at the outer edge stick a bit of washi tape down and then fold it back on itself. Keep moving round the circle, making tiny folds as you go (as shown in the photo).
- Once you have covered one circumference, take a different patterned washi tape and repeat to make a second layer.
- Continue in this way until your flower is finished.

- First draw on a face using pens.
- Wrap a length of washi tape for the blouse and fold over the edges to neaten.

- Unroll a length of washi tape and stick a cocktail stick down the centre of the tape, leaving some of the stick exposed as shown.
- Fold the tape over so that tape covers both sides of the stick
- Cut points at the end and then make lots of tiny snips down each side for a feathered effect.
- These take seconds to make so you can quickly make a whole collection using different patterned tapes.

- Unwind a little bit of washi tape from the roll and stick a cocktail stick to it, leaving about 1cm of tape as shown.

- Cut a triangle shape out of the edges to make the edges of the flag.
- Make a whole selection of little flags.

- Cut a circle or card. Then cut curved edges all the way round the edge and keep cutting in a spiral until you almost reach the centre of the circle. You can click on the image to enlarge it to see where to cut.
- Starting at the very end tear off little bits of washi tape and stick them to the card 'snake'. Use a variety of tapes and stick on a mish mash of different patterns, working your way along the spiral until the whole card is covered.
- Start at the very centre of your flower and pinch it round into a bunch as shown.
- Once you are happy with your flower shape secure it at the back with a little bit of washi tape. You can then tape or glue on a safety pin to make your flower into a delicate brooch or use it to make a unique homemade card or embellish a present.

- Carefully place a length of washi tape along the face of a wooden clothes peg.
- Trim the top and bottom to get a perfect fit.
- Fold over the edges - you might need to use a nail edge or a sharp object to tuck some edges into the metal on the sides of the peg to get a neat finish. Then cover the other side of your peg in the same way. Washi tape can peel off quite easily so cover your pegs in a coat of clear varnish.
